LK.12:32-46
"Do not fear, little flock, for it
is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what
you have and give alms; provide yourselves bags which do not grow
old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief
approaches nor moth corrupts. For where your treasure is, there
your heart will be also. Let your waist be girded about and your
lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their
master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes
and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those
servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Verily,
I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down
to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in
the second watch, or come in the third watch,
and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that
if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would
come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken
into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming
at an hour you do not expect. Then Peter said to Him, "Lord
do you speak this parable only to us, or to all people?"
And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward,
whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them
their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom
his master will find so doing when he come. Truly, I say to you
that he will make him ruler over all that he has. But if that
servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,
and begins to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and
drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a
day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is
not aware; and he will cut him in two and appoint him his portion
with the unbelievers.
May Thy Saying be concluded in peace. We worship
Thee O Christ together with Thy Good Father and the Holy Spirit,
for Thou come and saved us.
With eyes full of compassion O Lord, look upon my weakness, for life is well nigh to an end, and in my works there is no salvation. Wherefore I beseech Thee O Lord, with merciful eyes look upon my weakness, my affliction, my lowliness and my sojourning and save me.
"Zoksapatri ke lyou-ke agi-you epnevmaty"
(Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.)
Since the Judge is present, O my soul, take thought and awake, and consider that terrible hour. For as in judgment there is no mercy for the merciless. Wherefore O Saviour, have pity on me, for Thou alone art the Lover of man.
"Kenin ke aa-ee ke-ic-touce e-on-ace ton
e-onon Amen."(Both now and ever and
unto the ages of ages, Amen.)
O noetic gate of life, and honoured Birthgiver of God, save them who with confidence, take refuge in thee from trouble. That in all things we may glorify thy pure birthgiving, for the salvation of our souls.
"Kenin ke aa-ee ke-ic-touce e-on-ace ton
e-onon Amen."(Both now and ever and
unto the ages of ages, Amen.)
O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present, and fillest all things, O Treasury of good, and bestower of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from every stain, and save, O Good-One, our souls.
"Zoksapatri ke lyou-ke agi-you epnevmaty"
(Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.)
As Thou wast with Thy disciples, O Saviour, and gavest them peace, Come also and be with us, and save us, and deliver our souls.
"Kenin ke aa-ee ke-ic-touce e-on-ace ton
e-onon Amen."(Both now and ever and
unto the ages of ages, Amen.)
When we stand in Thy Holy temple, we are counted as those standing in heaven. Thou art the gate of heaven, O Birthgiver of God, open unto us the door of mercy.
Holy, Holy, Holy, O Lord of Sabaoth, Heaven and earth are full of Thy glory and Thy majesty. Have mercy on us O God the Father Almighty. O Holy Trinity have mercy on us. O Lord of hosts be Thou with us. For we have no other helper in our tribulations and necessities but Thee.Loose, remit, and pardon, O God, our transgressions that we have committed voluntarily and involuntarily, consciously and unconsciously, hidden and manifest. O Lord, remit for the sake of Thy Holy Name, by which we are called, according to Thy mercy, O Lord, and not according to our sins.
Make us, O Lord, worthy to say with all thanksgiving:
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, through Christ Jesus
our Lord. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
The Gospel From St.Luke 2:29-32
Lord, now let Thou thy servant depart
in peace, according to Thy word. For mine eyes have seen Thy salvation.
Which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A Light
to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory to Thy people Israel.
And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, through Christ Jesus
our Lord. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
The worshipper prays this absolution:
O Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living and Eternal God. Enlighten our minds to the understanding of Thy Life-giving word. Raise us up from the darkness of sin that deadens the soul, and make us worthy to be straight in the doing of good. May we be worthy at the times of Thy coming to judge the world, to hear that voice full of joy, saying: "Come unto Me ye blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you before the foundation of the world." Yea, Lord, assist us in that hour to be without fear, anxiety, or condemnation. And judge us not according to the multitude of our iniquities, for Thou alone art long-suffering, plenteous in mercy and most compassionate, through the intercession of our Lady, Saint Marry, the Birthgiver of God and all the Saints. Amen.
The prayer of every hour
Have mercy on us O God, and have mercy
on us. Thou who, at all times, and at every hour, in Heaven and
on earth art worshipped and glorified. O Christ, our God, who
art long-suffering, plenteous in mercy and most compassionate,
who loves the righteous and has mercy on sinners, of whom I am
first. Who does not wish the death of sinner, but to repent and
to live. Who calls all to salvation through the promise of good
things to come. Receive, O Lord, our prayers at this hour and
at every hour; prosper our way, and guide our life toward Thy
commandments. Sanctify our souls, make chaste our bodies, correct
our thoughts, purify our intention, heal our sickness, remit our
sins, and deliver us from every affliction evil and pain. Compass
us about with Thy holy angels; that guided and guarded by their
array we may attain to the unity of faith and the knowledge of
Thine unapproachable and infinite glory for blessed art Thou unto
the ages of ages. Amen.
