Therefore we ask and entreat Thy goodness, O Lover-of-man, grant us to complete this holy day, and all the days of our life in all peace with Thy fear. All envy, all temptation, all the influence of Satan, the intrigue of wicked people, the rising up of enemies, hidden and manifest, take away from us, and from all Thy people, and from this, Thy holy place. But as for those things which are good and useful provide us with them. For Thou art the One who gave us the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and every power of the enemy. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, through the grace, compassion and love of man, of Thine only begotten Son, our Lord, God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Through whom glory, honor, dominion, and worship befit Thee with Him and the Holy Spirit, the lifegiver who is of one essence with Thee, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy; and according to the multitude of Thy compassion blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know mine iniquity, and my sin is ever before me. Against Thee only have I sinned and done this evil before Thee, that Thou mightiest be justified in Thy words, and prevail when Thou art judged. A sacrifice unto God is a broken spirit; a heart that is broken and humbled God will not despise. Do good, O Lord, in Thy good pleasure unto Sion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force, to make Him a king, He departed again into a mountain Himself alone. And when evening is now come His disciples went down unto the sea. And entered into a ship, and went over to the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. And the sea arose because of a great wind that blew. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. But He said unto them, it is I: be not afraid. Then they willingly received Him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land were they went. The day following, when the people which stood at the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, save that one which His disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with His disciples into the boat, but that His disciples were gone away alone. However there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks.

May Thy Saying be concluded in peace. We worship Thee O Christ together with Thy Good Father and the Holy Spirit, for Thou come and saved us.

The weariness of my enemies, O Lord, Thou know, and of the weakness of my nature Thou hast understanding, O my Creator. For behold, into Thy hands I command my soul that Thou may shield me under the wings of Thy goodness lest I sleep unto death. Enlighten my eyes with the excellency of Thy sayings, and raise me up to send up praise to Thee at all times, for Thou alone art good and the lover of mankind.

Thy judgment O Lord is fearful, when people gathered, angels standing, books opened, works unveiled, and thoughts examined, what judgment is mine, who am found in sins, or who will quench the flame of fire; if Thou, O Lord, have no mercy on me? For Thou art compassionate towards mankind.

Let us not be put to shame, but save us, O Birthgiver of God, in as much as we have put our trust in Thee. Having acquired Thy succor and intercession O perfect and spotless one, shall we not fear, but shall pursue our enemies and disperse them, and let us take for a shield Thy powerful help to shield us in all things. Crying out, we ask and entreat thee, O Birthgiver of God: "Have mercy on us with thine intercession and raise us up from the dark sleep to glory in God who became Incarnate from thee."

Holy, Holy, Holy, O Lord of Sabaoth, Heaven and earth are full of Thy glory and Thy majesty. Have mercy on us O God the Father Almighty. O Holy Trinity have mercy on us. O Lord of hosts be Thou with us. For we have no other helper in our tribulations and necessities but Thee.Loose, remit, and pardon, O God, our transgressions that we have committed voluntarily and involuntarily, consciously and unconsciously, hidden and manifest. O Lord, remit for the sake of Thy Holy Name, by which we are called, according to Thy mercy, O Lord, and not according to our sins.

O Lord Jesus Christ our God, give us rest in our sleep, repose of body and purity of soul and protect us from the darkness of sin. Subdue all vainful movements, quench the heat of the flesh and annul the agitation of the body. Grant us a wakeful mind, a humble thought, a virtuous life, a bed undefiled, a sleep without stain, and raise us up to give Thee praise night and morning, being established in Thy commandments and ceaselessly remembering Thy judgments. And grant us glorification the night over, that we may bless Thy Holy Name, full of glory and radiance, with Thy Good Father and the Holy Spirit the Giver of Life, both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

The prayer of every hour
Have mercy on us O God, and have mercy on us. Thou who, at all times, and at every hour, in Heaven and on earth art worshipped and glorified. O Christ, our God, who art long-suffering, plenteous in mercy and most compassionate, who loves the righteous and has mercy on sinners, of whom I am first. Who does not wish the death of sinner, but to repent and to live. Who calls all to salvation through the promise of good things to come. Receive, O Lord, our prayers at this hour and at every hour; prosper our way, and guide our life toward Thy commandments. Sanctify our souls, make chaste our bodies, correct our thoughts, purify our intention, heal our sickness, remit our sins, and deliver us from every affliction evil and pain. Compass us about with Thy holy angels; that guided and guarded by their array we may attain to the unity of faith and the knowledge of Thine unapproachable and infinite glory for blessed art Thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.
